Vacation redux

At 5:00 pm on Friday, my vacation started! Where am I going? NOWHERE!! I've never: a) had so much vacation time -- 24 days a year, my people! and b) not gone anywhere. So I've got all of next week off, and I am spending it a Chez Cootera and surrounding environs. How much does that kick ass?! And then, in a few more weeks, Kansas City HERE I COME!! I'm heading down with a few of my friends for a couple nights to see the Goo Goo Dolls. I think I like the band... never seen 'em, but I've heard their music. Mostly, it'll just be a fun time with the girls. And I'm sure the concert will be great. And this Thursday night? THE HONEYDOGS are back in town!!

Now all I have to do is make sure I don't hurt myself again. After a rather long Saturday (Farmers' Market in the morning, then home to mow, weed and plant another Sweet Autumn, I ended up having to work at the bar because the person who had signed up for my shift needed to leave due to her dog escaping -- she found him, thankfully) I came home and decided to relax in the hammock after having cocktails with the posse. I discovered the hard way that vodka and hammocks do not mix. Yes, I went ass over teakettle. Landed on my neck, then the rest of my body followed with a sound thump mid-back on the support bar. The piggies still wiggle, but I'll be honest: I cried like a little girl. And today I feel like an old crone. The two Aleve I promptly swallowed upon falling out of bed this morning don't seem to be doing a damn thing. So it's highly unlikely I'll be doing anything this fine day. I did, however, go out just now and take some pics of the garden:
The weeding won't get done today.

But the watering is done.

If anyone needs me, I'll be sitting in my chair working the New York Times crossword. Have a great weekend all!

A restful Sunday

This is what I did yesterday. Obviously, I had help. And it's more impressive in person.
