Songs that make you remember
Last night I was hanging out with some friends and we were talking about songs we love. Then, this morning, I popped over to Leezer's blog and she had a list of songs she could listen to over and over. I felt the urge to share a few of mine. What are yours?
“Southern Nights” and "Wichita Linemen" by Glen Campbell
“Don’t Fear the Reaper” by Blue Oyster Cult
“Life in a Northern Town” by Dream Academy
“Shakedown Street” by the Grateful Dead
Damn near anything by the Honeydogs and The The
“Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Joy Division
“Suspicious Minds” by Elvis Presley
“Wild Horses” by the Rolling Stones
“The Horses” by Rickie Lee Jones (no connection)
“In My Life” by the Beatles
“O Mio Babbino Caro” by Puccini, and only as sung by Kiri Te Kanawa
“Wonderful Remark” by Van Morrison
The theme song from ‘Pinky and the Brain’
This list is by no means complete as our memories have ways of holding much more than we can commit to paper (or the innernets). Besides, I really need to do some things around the house before heading to another day of schlepping beer to friends, regulars and unknowns. Have a happy Saturday all!
